Smoking is a plague to a plethora of individuals. Despite the numerous anti-smoking campaigns held all over the country, we have seen the number of smokers decline in a prolong rate. Even though, millions of ex-smokers surrendered to the temptation and continued with their atrocious habitââ¬âfeeling depressed since theyre not mentally stable. Naturally, the query ascends: how plausible is it to quit with a horrible addiction like smoking? The simple answer to this question is ââ¬Å"Yesâ⬠only if the person has a strong will and courage. Terrifying images printed on cigarette packs, commercials, and movies will not change a personal perspective. Due to them, most people smoke with fear but do not have what it takes to stop. When you become notified when and why you smoke, it will be easier to avoid those risky situations. The Forth step is when you are ready to take the next leap, assign a particular date for your last cigarette. Do not fear this day and make essential preparations. Instead, think of this day as the date of your rebirth as a new human being. Find others who want to quit smoking like a group and tell them your expectations and ask them for help. You will need help when the time comes, and you pick up your last cigarette. The fifth step is much more about a psychological addiction rather than physical addiction. Create a list of activities that would distract you from thoughts about cigarettes when they appear. For instance, choose a hobby, go out with friends, or find other work that you may enjoy. Do not think you think youre trying to quitââ¬âthis will make the process never ends. Instead, persuade yourself you have already done that. It is also important to remember that searching for substitutes is not a reasonable idea; in which, many could need to the use of other drugs like pills and alcohol. The sixth step is to be physically active. Exercise will help you feel better about yourself after you are reborn. Besides, this will prevent, or at least minimize, the jump in weight that often follows quitting.
